The location of this hotel is superb, situated on the edge of a pond with the soothing sound of running water. It's just a short 15-minute walk through the water meadows to the city center, where you can explore the shops and admire the historic cathedral. The view of the mill pond and the distant cathedral is simply breathtaking. Nicola, the staff member who attended to us, made our evening truly enjoyable with her attentive service.
Almost perfect, but some minor areas for improvement. The breakfast experience was a bit hit and miss, as not all items were available for the full English breakfast each day.
Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy. Friendly staff: The staff was welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast: The breakfast served in the lovely restaurant setting was delicious. Great location: The hotel was conveniently located with beautiful views.
Almost perfect:
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a short 10-15 minute walk into the city center and right in front of the cathedral. The hotel facilities were great, with a beautiful waterside setting and a wonderfully decorated restaurant. The staff were lovely and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs.
