We had a fantastic stay at The Chequers. The owners, Alastair and Sharon, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, a sofa, a chair, a fridge. It was spotlessly clean, both the room itself and the ensuite bathroom. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a bar/lounge area that looked inviting, although we didn't have a chance to use it. The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was within walking distance to the beach, promenade, pleasure beach, and sea life centre. Plus, there was convenient parking available. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast, with a great variety and quality of options. The full English breakfast was superb, and they even fulfilled a special request from my wife for a full English breakfast "in a bun." The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. this hotel provided excellent value for money, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting this city.
